Security Binds Her (Thalia #1) by Jennifer Bene

Thalia is kidnapped by someone who was there to protect her. His only purpose is to train her to be the perfect submissive through whatever means he has to. But when it comes time for the auction will he be able to let her go? A 5 star ending that I never saw coming in the over 18 dark read with trigger elements. Can’t wait to see how Thalia thrives in the next book.

The Two Lost Girls: The Mystery of the Grimes Sisters by Troy Taylor

This was the sad retelling of the still unsolved murder of the Grimes sisters. No one really knows what happened to them after they left their house on a cold December 1956 evening to go to the movies only to have their nude bodies turn up three weeks later miles from where they were last seen. It is also an example of the horrible police work that occurred back there with police from different locations and cities and on lookers trampling through the unsecured crime scene. This book details, with photos, witnesses reports that only added to the confusion, reports of possible changes to police reports, to the firing of key people that started work on the case. It also talks about the similarities to three other child murders that happened within a time frame of 8 years. A good book with a good amount of information. Since I read the paperback version I have to say I love the different font that was used a compared to other books, it was so clear and crisp and made me think of the writing of an old newspaper. A great piece of Chicago history for history buffs. A 4 out of 5 star read.

The Two Lost Girls: The Mystery of the Grimes Sisters (Dead Men Do Tell Tales Series)

Secrets of Desire By LK Shaw

A wonderful dom/s with a great side story going on as well. I was cheering for this couple from the beginning to overcome their stubbornness and realize how they feel for each other. Then an unexpected threat threatens everyone and their chance at happiness. This was for me a 5 star read and I cant wait for the next book in the set.

Secrets of Desire by [Shaw, LK]

Bane’s heart by Sandra R Neeley

This is the second in Ms. Neeley’s series of Avaleigh’s boys (and I hope not her last). Bane is all man (and then some) and the last thing he needs in his life (or thinks he needs) is a mate (or any woman for that matter). All he needs is his brother and their make shift odd family of shifters. But when he sees Janie in the grocer store where she works he makes every excuse to visit her there every day (even to shopping every day). The two start to develop a relationship then she disappears. When Bane learns what has happened to her he vows to get her back and move anything in his path to do so and calls on his family to save her but will they get there in time to save her? And if they do will she be able to accept him, Bear and all, or will she have been damaged beyond repair by what she has seen and gone through? This 5 star book is intended for mature readers who don’t mind lots of cuss words, steamy hot sex and some violence. This books shows that true family isn’t always those related by blood and god help those who get between a man and his true mate. I’m looking forward (i hope) to the rest of Bane’s family finding their true mates.

Rescued by the Berserker (The Berserker Brides Book 1) by Lee Savino

Another great story in the Berserker family. This is the first time it is not a sister as a main character and includes only one love interest for the brave young woman Hazel. I love how they are both willing to stand up for each other and fight against all odds to be together. Hoping to see more one bride one mate stories but I’ll take any story with this brave men and their young brides. another quick 5 star read.

Blame it on the shame (Box set books 1-3) Ashley Jade

This 18+ dark read with triggers box set will leave you on the edge of you seat, crying, cursing and ready to hunt down the author for the wonderful heart retching roller coaster ride. Book one introduces you to so many wonderful people that you will either hate from the start or love, and in some cases both. Some will leave you crying others will leave you shaking your head. Ms. Jade has a way with words that make all of her characters come to life and when you will meet some of them you are going to wish you cold put them down. Others you are going to want to bring home to care for and cuddle. Ricardo and Lou-Lou are in no way the perfect couple the fire between them both in and out of bed is wonderful and only progresses into book two. Book two we see more of the family bound between Ricardo and his ‘brothers’ and mama and how they will stick together throw anything and support each other no matter what Sometimes you need a real threat to show you what people mean to you. Again this book is going to have you drowning in tears and chocking on curse words while you try not to throw your kindle against the wall. In my opinion this is the book that truly shows the monster that Bruno DeLuca really is and how much in control he is in and the damage he can do in everyone’s life that he has contact with. No one will escape this book untouched and at times you wonder if he will break Ricardo and Lou-Lou. This book left me broken for sure and not on a good way. But I did move onto book 3. Bruno is not the threat here any longer Ricardo has become a monster worse than his father every could be to some, but at least he had a method to his evilness in cleaning up the streets his way, But this book was really the story that Ricardo and Lou-Lou needed telling. And Ms.Jade told it it the way she does best. There is plenty of blood and violence and when it comes to the sex it is hot and rough. But I wouldn’t have accepted anything less. This book was the darkest of the three books and trust me when I say Ricardo has become just as rutheless as his father. There is enough back stabbing and distrust in this book to keep everyone happy. After shedding tears and more cursing and nearly throwing my kindle I am glad I made it through the last book because it completed the story. No doubt an over 18 dark read with triggers but still earns the whole 5 stars.

Blame It on the Shame: Complete Series (Blame It on the Shame, #1-3)

NEW RELEASE TODAY!!!! Lyrical by Bree Dahlia

I love this ongoing story of 20 something Chase and his 40 something lover, Jillian. Here we find ex-husband drama, want-a-be-lover drama and the college age son coming home from college over sea, who is only a few years younger than Chase. Also throw in planning the wedding of Jillian’s brother to her best friend. There is more drama going on in this book than a soap opera at times but Ms. Dahlia makes everything run so smoothly together with her words and makes it believable. And I love books that take turns telling what is going on from the other persons point of few you learn so much more. This was a truly enjoyable read and although you don’t need to read Legal first it would be best that you did to get an insight into how the whole wonderful relationship started. This is no May-December romance (Or whatever the saying is) here.

Lyrical (Legal #2)

NEW RELEASE TODAY!!!! Girl The binding seris book 2 by Cordelia Michelsen

This was a non-stop suspenseful book from the second I picked it up. I could not put it down. I can’t imagine the panic that Girl felt waking up in a strange city especially New Orleans, with out a trace of any memory from childhood to even getting on the plane. Then the poor girl is caught up into a world of real-life witches which leaves her puzzled but she stakes it in stride while I would be running. The way everyone around her just takes her in a treats her like an equal is so surprising and heartwarming to read about. Then she finds not one but two suitors that generally care about her. This surprising book has so many mini stories into it but they just add to the suspense of he book Just when you think you know what is going to happen it goes down a different path.A highly suggested read and while your at it grab book one as well for another back story. The author has a way with words that makes everything come crystal clear and entertaining and they all just seem to flow together.5 star read all together.

Girl Book 2 of The Binding Series

Evelyn, After. A novel by Victoria Helen Stone

Evelyn finds her life turned upside down when she discovers her husband secret. She finds herself making decisions while learning about herself. Although I enjoyed the story it flip every chapter from the past (before) to the present (after) which at times left me confused as I tried to recall were the previous matching chapter left off. Over all this was a good story.

The wicked bride games by Clarissa Wild

What the @ell did I just read? The ultimate survivor game? 9 bides and 3 grooms. All the trickery and ‘games’ that the grooms demand. When one bride figures out what is really going on can she keep quiet or will she tell? Or does she use that information to make sure that she is the only survivor? This book was full of twist and turns and kept me entertained the whole time. Highly recommend for those who enjoy back stabbing and learning how strong you really are. 5 stars.
